Preview of 2nd 9 weeks

Students, Our first 9 weeks of school are in the books. Here is a little preview of what we'll be studying the rest of the semester. First, we'll continue our build up to the Civil War focussing on the division slavery caused and the key players and events in this lead up to a divided America. Over the course of our Civil War study, we will have a special movie project focussing on the 54th Massachusetts Regiment in the movie "Glory" starring Denzel Washington. The end of our course will center on Reconstruction after the War. Tomorrow for extra credit, name for me which president led the expulsion of the Creek and Cherokee Indians from Georgia and Alabama and what was the name of the road these tribes marched on.
